The heating chamber provides the heat needed for evaporation of the liquid, causing the liquid to boil and vaporize; the evaporating chamber completely isolates the gas and liquid phases. The steam produced in the heating chamber contains a large amount of liquid foam. After the evaporation chamber in the larger space, the liquid can be separated from the vapor by the function of self agglomeration or demister. Usually the demister is located at the top of the evaporation chamber.

According to the movement of the solution in the evaporator:

Circulation type
Boiling solution in the heating chamber several times through the heating surface, such as a central circular pipe, basket type, heat type, Levin and forced circulation type.

One-way type
The boiling solution passes through the heating chamber at once, without circulating fluid, and then the concentrated liquid is discharged, such as a rising film type, a falling film type, a stirring film type and a centrifugal film type, etc.

Direct contact type
Direct heat transfer between a heating medium and a solution, such as an immersion combustion evaporator. In the operation of the evaporation device, a large amount of heating steam is consumed, and a multi effect evaporation device and a steam recompression evaporator can be adopted to save the heating steam. Evaporators are widely used in the chemical, light and other sectors.
